http://www.paulgraham.com/nerds.html
This is a very worthwhile article to read. I found the premise interesting, though it certainly has many flaws. I hardly agreed with many of the assumptions in the article, but I don't doubt that many "nerds" will read this article and wholeheartedly agree with it. The most interesting note I took was the supposed correlation between a child's development of priorities and their later social outcome. A heavy responsibility is claimed to be held by parents. "While the nerds were being trained to get the right answers, the popular kids were being trained to please." It's frightening in these simplistic terms, but I don't deny the strong influences of these seperate (or can they coexist?) priorities of raising a child.

It's striking me vehemently, but I don't know what direction it means. I'm falling in love all over again with Punk. Their are too many attributes to specify, but I'm generally leaning into so-called last year's interests, or perhaps I'm caving into that void I emptied. Full circle, kinda like those germs. MmmHmm, The Briefs on Noyz Pollution. All too sudden change.
